What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is a relaxing, nurturing energy therapy. Gentle touch assists in balancing a clients' physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Healing Touch works with a persons' energy field to support their natural ability to heal. It is safe for all ages and works in harmony with standard medical care. Many scientific studies have been done to support the efficacy of Healing Touch for many common physical and emotional circumstances.

How Was Healing Touch Developed?
Healing Touch was developed by Janet Mentgen, RN, in the United States in 1989. Janet researched and empirically validated the efficacy of many different traditional healing techniques. She integrated those techniques into one training program, which she called "Healing Touch". Healing Touch is based on the nursing process, and is grounded in nursing practice. Today, Healing Touch has spread internationally and is taught in universities, medical and nursing schools and other settings internationally.
What Happens During A Healing Touch Session?
The first session involves a consultation as well as the energy session itself. The provider will ask you a series of questions about your physical, mental, and emotional situation, and will answer any questions you might have. Then the client will lie fully clothed on a massage table while the provider gently places their hands above or on the individual.
The session generally lasts 45 to 60 minutes, and people frequently report feeling deeply relaxed and peaceful during and after the session. There is a cumulative effect of using Healing Touch over time and regular sessions are recommended.
Healing Touch can be used in conjunction with hypnotherpay, or you may just want to recieve Healing Touch by itself as a treatment or self-care option.
